We have a good share of them around here, and the only major problem I have observed is the 426 engine tends to throw rods if the crank bearings aren't changed every two thousand hours. I know of three locally that put a hole in the block because of a rod bearing failure and when I was in an Allis dealer's shop a few years ago they had an 8050 and a 7060 sitting there with a hole in the block in both of them. The mechanic there claimed the block spreads and the front main bearing leaks too much oil pressure away. A close neighbor has a 7060 with quite a few hours and he hasn't had any more problems with it than any other brand. Another neighbor has a 7040 and it has given him very good service.Jim
