Hi Buddy; As one of Dowdeswell's bunch I have some insight into ploughing in England. Yes Kv does make some good ploughs, but the Dowdeswell match ploughs are very special - as you saw in the last World Match. Its really down to the skills of the ploughman at the end of the day. Have used Ransomes TS54 myself, nice little plough, but it was not designed as a match plough. Tried several makes & models over the years. The "best" comercially built plough here which is ideal for matchwork has to be the International B-12. I used a 2 furrow at 12". Then converted a 3 furrow into 2, and mixed the legs to give me a 2 furrow 13" plough. This enabled me to have an extra inch to play with in the open furrow to take out any curves or kinks - very neccessary in my case ! LoL. Used it behind B-275 which has the extra gears, diff lock & weight to make it an "ideal" tractor for match ploughing. Have a great Xmas down there. Cheers David
