Got four in my immediate family. For the most part, pretty dependable. Maintenance and brakes like any vehicle. Have replaced a couple front wheel bearings, and am due to put a lower ball joint in one as soon as weather permits. But what car hasn't had a wheel bearing or a ball joint wear out? Sure wish there was a way to grease the wheel bearings, but they are a sealed unit, replaced as a unit. Unit also has abs sensor built in, and is part of unit. One of the two was due to abs sensor failure, other bearing failure. Otherwise, they are dependable, good ride, versatile, haul a good load of feed, pull pretty good trailer load. Fuel economy is in the 19-20mpg range with general driving. Considering you are running the equivalent of a full size car, probably not too bad. I find myself using the 4wd drive quite a bit, due to bad weather, road, and driving in fields, and pulling wagons, etc. Excellent 4wd, especially if it comes with "auto 4wd" which kicks in only when needed.
