Lynn, I am not going to directly answer your question, but will pass on some info that was given to me by other YT folks. Use "EZ-OFF" oven cleaner on the existing paint; let it set for several hours, then use a pressure washer and like magic, no more paint! Much better than the paint removers I have tried and it doesn't seem to hurt rubber parts. By the way, I also use phosphoric Acid to cut the lye-based EZ-OFF just before using the sprayer. I get it from Home Depot in the paint section as Rust Converter. The two chemicals neutralize each other and keep from destroying whatever the tractor is parked over. If you are a non-believer, invest $3 in a can and try it on something with paint on it you don't care about. Works great and doesn't touch the metal (or rust either. You have to take care of that another way). Then use whatever primer you get advice on for your Ford.
