I totally agree with everything you said kodg. The high boy trucks were a PITA. MIne looked really good but it was a money and maintenence pit. Mine was a 1976 that had the big hubs in the front but had a dana 44. I have never had any problems with any dana 44 in the front of one. My f-350 has a dana 60 in the front but I don't see what all the hype is with them. I would recommend not buying the 77. It is not the high boy anyway. It is actually better that it is not. They only have two drivshafts and not the three and the transfer case is probably hooked to the back of the trans which is also better than the hi boy. I would find a late 80's early 90's F-350. They sit higher than the hi boys and everything about them is a better design.
