If she triped OFF the tractor but NOT when mounted, the left/right governor shaft alignment may be off (adjusts by adding or removing shim gaskets under big end cap on other side from mag) and the mag fits too tight into the governor shaft drive and shes binding up preventing tripping, which an extra gasket or two between governor and mag might cure..... If shes off and youre manually winding n tripping it you need to turn it the right direction, of course, which is CCW when facing into the rear and held in the normal upright mounted position. If the engage dogs dont extend outward into the drive cup to engage it so it can turn n wind the spring it may need cleaned n light lubed so they do. Dont forget to get it in time cuz if 180 out (mag fits eitehr way) she will pop n bang n backfire n maybe kick the flywheel back etc etc. A simple wire swap will make em run but I prefer they be right/original where the top cap tower leads to the left cylinder.
