I've got them both. Put 360 on one PC, and son of a ..... to try and use that PC. Yes, can setup what runs in back ground, and defrag does by default, so can turn it off, but I ended up taking it off. I just couldn't take it anymore because the PC that I put it on was running a Pentium 2 and even though I told it to stop defrag, it was constantly combing through programs and just bogging it down to the speed of frozen mud. I should've reloaded Norton Anti-Virus 2000, and brought it up to date. At least it was useable, but like a nitwit, I figured buy the latest and greatest since was reloading XP on it...and that 360 will set in that box off to the side until I figure its been paid for long enough, and then into the trash. It comes fully locked down, assuming that you're a 2 year old kid that needs to be protected from everything but breathing, so won't do anything but breath. If I wanted to screw with it over hours, I guess I could set it up, but I'm not screwing with 360. Enough was enough.

I've got AVG Internet Security 7.5 on this laptop, because an IT guy told me that he uses the free version of AVG on some applications because works fine, and advances for it are financed by those that purchase AVG software. The problem with the free version is that you get zero tech support, so I went out and bought 7.5. That can be a pain too, especially when first trying to go online because it assumes that everytime try to go online, your PC is left on, and someone's trying to use or hack your system that shouldn't be. It can be dealt with though. And of course, don't try to load any software with anti-virus, anti-malware, or anything running. It aint going to happen.

And as far as McAfee... I don't know why or how they're still in business. Good luck, and make sure if you change from 360 to AVG, clean all of 360 off the PC first. Nothing like having one on a PC and then trying to load another. I made that mistake years back when had free McAfee on a PC and loaded Norton Anti-virus 2000. Took me forever to stop the boot process at the right spot so that wouldn't continue and be a train wreck during the boot process that left my PC locked up tighter than a welded shut safe.

Today's Featured Article - The 8N and the Fox - by Zane Sherman. Dec. 13 1998, Renfroe, Alabama. Last niht I dreamed about the day that I plowed the field of about 10 acres over on what Jimmy and Dandy called the Ledbetter field. I was driving the 1948 8N Ford tractor that Jimmy bought in 48 new This was prebably in about 1951 and maybe even befor the house was built. This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit ... [Read Article]
