I dont know ANY specifics about your particualr engine butttttttttttt those small engine alternator/rectified charging systems dont set the world on fire, maybe 5 amps is about all she can charge. The ones that use electric clutches generally are higher rated BUT its true they ought to raise the battery voltage some measureable/observeable amount cuz they dont charge otherwise (it may take a decent voltmeter to get accurate before n after readings???) . Unless the alternator windings (under flywheel) are bad Ive had more problems with the rectifier blocks going bad then anything else. There may be a minor high resistance trickle bleed discharge short thats zapping the battery over long times she sets, maybe unhook the batery when shes parked n see if it stays up then and/or have the batery tested???
