Picked up my truck today from the shop on the guys acreage. They ended up putting a new pitman arm with upper and lower ball joints and one wheel bearing assembly. They also did an alignment. He priced a cheaper ball joint but they weren't available so he reduced the price of the more expensive one about $50.00. He gave me an estimate of around $1500.00 to $1600.00 and I thought with the pitman arm the price would be a little more. I was very pleasantly surprised when he gave the bill and it was only for $1097.04 total! He said it's better to quote a little higher and come down if the job goes easier than to quote and then the actual cost is higher. I'll certainly go back to his shop! It's very hard to find good honest businesses anymore. $3742.94 for the tire shop price compared to $1097.04. Almost unbelievable difference! Dave
