70"s- remember first OPEC action, was driving delivery truck. Alternate day fillups, rationed gas to stations, early closing stations- the 4.00 gas situation for all night service now, compared to less than a dollar IF station has any. I remember early 80"s with Carters economics - 20% interest for transporter order meant 200 orders casncelled and out of job 3 months later. On the other handy most of the STDs could be handled with Penicillin, The old Harley FL had gear shift same place as IHC H, Shotokan club wasn"t bothered by KungFu wannabees, Jeep dealer still handled some Kaiser parts. Beer, Wine and smokes were cheaper, women had gotten pill and many were free or close to it. Thing can get interesting now- chuckle at younguns when they get drunk and profound. Some favorite puns can"t be told to youth that don"t have background knowledge- can"t comment about M1 thumbs and be understood by Hannah Montana watchers. Sigh;^)
