I'd sure hate to try to make a go of it on 8.00 beans. But, I sold a world of 5.00 beans for a lot of years. Selling at harvest is almost always guarenteed to be at the bottom of the market. But, thats the way of farming, good money one or two years out of ten, lose your shirt if you arent careful one or two years and do a little better or worse than break even 6-8 out of 10. And hope the good year or two is enough better than the bad to keep you going.
I'd ask the dairymen where they are buying or selling. That will point you to the closest mills. Oh, and this past year was one of the good years, if you presold your crop in the summer.
