Used to have a Ford 3000. The thing I always thought was designed horribly was a compression nut that attached the outbound hydraulic line to the hydraulic pump on the tractor. Seems like every so often it would turn loose causing me to lose a lot of hydraulic oil, and it always happened at the worst possible time. My neighbor has a Ford 2000 and it does the same thing. I always kept a couple of spares on hand just in case. Those compression nuts on that line had to be the worst design that could ever be thought up. Truly hated those things.
