I've heard that the Tri-State Gas Engine and Antique Tractor Show in Portland, IN is (argueably) the best in the country and I'm considering making the trip in late August.
My question is: Before I commit to drive 900 miles one-way to eastern Indiana, does this show concentrate mostly on restored equipment and come up short on vendors, parts trailers, junk, and rusty iron? The reason I ask is because some shows won't allow swap meet items and even go so far as to not allow a "For Sale" sign on an old tractor. Ideally, I'd like to do it all - see the restored stuff and browse the junk and rusty iron for sale all in the same trip. If the August show is short on stuff for sale, I'll save the trip for the October swap meet.
