Just my personall opinion but dont fill the case up with oil.Itll get all over the ground evevtually and do some enviromental damamge,although be it on a small scale.Ive gotten tranny parts out of tractors thaT have been sitting for 10 or more years with nothing over the gearbox but the cover that goes on it and what little oil was left in the case with little or no rust.
