Go Zeke, you are wise behind your ears. You must be out of touch if you think todays young folks have physical fitness. It's video games, dorito's and internet. How often these days do the courts ask if troubled youth offenders want to choose military or jail. I agree high school is a bare minimum, course it could be the bear minimum as well. Not every one can afford to attend college or tech school. Serving our country is a great way to get the education funds and even great training on the latest technology which the military has. There are no good manufacturing jobs left for people these days so armed forces is a good option. I'm pretty up to date on the times Joe. I spent 7 years as a manager of a manufacturing plant and I seen the many types of people out there looking for jobs. Most kids coming in off of military service had the best attendance, best work ethic, and alot of knowledge that quickly qualified them for leader ship positions and skilled labor positions. I never regretted hiring one of them. Some times I think maybe you do not appreciate the many things this country has to offer, which, as we speak are quickly being reduced and threatened by people you have said are such great leaders. I hope you find, some day, what you need to sooth your soul and put your anger at rest. Your a bitter, pessimistic, hypocrite that seems to just love attempting to get good folks riled up.... kinda like the devil would do.

Today's Featured Article - The 8N and the Fox - by Zane Sherman. Dec. 13 1998, Renfroe, Alabama. Last niht I dreamed about the day that I plowed the field of about 10 acres over on what Jimmy and Dandy called the Ledbetter field. I was driving the 1948 8N Ford tractor that Jimmy bought in 48 new This was prebably in about 1951 and maybe even befor the house was built. This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit ... [Read Article]
