I use lots of propriatery software, so its definately not mac compatable. You can run windows on any new mac that has the intel processor. Mac finally started to move away from the power pc processor. I have heard of storys caused be one confilicting with the other and such though. Why would i shell out the extra money for a mac, to hopefully have it work with my propriatery software using propriatery hardware when i can stay with my regular PC and not have any issues. Most computer viruses come into play from people venturing where they shouldnt be on the internet or getting it from friends. I suggest running AVG, its a great free virus scanner that will keep your computer clean.
