Dealers call this type of cleaning, "Full Detail" I bought a Plymouth mini van in Aug 2009, which was owned by heavy smoker. I shampoed carpet, seats, door panels, dash, and head liner. There is no hint of smoke odor now, My older sister rode with me on a 2hr trip, did not affect her at all, and she is extremely allergic to cigarette smoke. There is NO short cuts for removing cigarette odor from interior.
