I did the seal on a MF 35 and had trouble getting it out. I put a 4x4 post on the ground behind the rear wheels, hooked a chain to the shaft and to another 4x4 post which I stood on end. Then I pulled on the top of the upright post and the shaft popped right out. Anything that can give you enough leverage could help. Zach
