I visited the Hershey Museum in the 1970s and remember the many Pennsylvania rifles on display.
I have since learned that my ggg grandfather was Isaac Haines and is considered an important rifle maker of the era and area.
I have considered a trip to Hershey in order to view one of the muskets he made but now find that the old museum has closed and a Chocolate Story Museum has opened instead. Bummer, as I had thought about asking you to photograph one of the muskets for me. So goes life.
I enjoyed Pennsylvania when I visited. From a Washington army cannon factory, shot chilling tower, to a 200 year old log cabin.
Enjoy your trip. If you have young kids a trip to Storybook Forest will be something they remember.
