Yep, its always the little guy who get the shaft . When I built my garage in 78 , I took my plans to the township lady & disqust the floor drains with her & was approved . I installed 2 drains into a catch pit . Then an outlet 2" above the basin bottom & outside underground 3' down along the road to my property line & then opoen to the street ditch which is all dirt . The only thing ever going out thru this pipe is floor water & maybe some other stuff ( hush, Moms the word) . I've had the supervisors check it out , plus when those inspectors were here a couple years ago . It was all ok'd . But I've had two different neighbors below me try their best to cause me trouble simply because whenever water does come out the pipe from hosing down my floor , they complain that their parking area becomes a swamp .They are too cheap & extremely lazy to dig out the dirt & have shale or a good rock base with gravel installed so they don't have mud . My parking area was muddy also until I did all the above . I have a nice hard surface for 40 yrs now . Anyhow the guy living below me now , every winter he pushes snow & mud up tite to my drain pipe trying to plug the pipe . I've asked him time after time to quit it . He laughs & says he hates how he has a soup hole & I don't . So I then have to shovel the pipe opening out & use a bar to clean out the pipe . The supervisors holler at me for how he blocks surface water alongside the street with his mud & snow. They aren't bold enough to confront the rite guy because he has a towing service which they use freely & don't wanta make hard feelings with him . Tell me that's fair . Oh yea , they've tried finding something I'm doing illegal in my garage .But , nice guy I am , whenever I have my blade on my tractor or truck, I plow they whole neighborhood out being very careful I leave nothing laying on the street . Life is great , isn't it ? God bless

Today's Featured Article - Gatherin of the Orange - by Rick Nikolich. In July of 1998 I was talking to fellow Allis Chalmers collector Mike Schilling about the annual "Gathering of The Orange" AC show coming up in August of 1999. He got this wild idea that we should get a convoy of AC tractors and drive them from Charlotte, Michigan 105 miles to LaGrange, Indiana. ... [Read Article]
