I have several gas tractors on my farm, many were brought back from retirement, none of them have or need fuel filters, a good sediment bowl with a screen will do all that is needed, find one off a 510 massey combine, it has a screen that goes up into the tank, on one tractor I put a piece of 5/16" tube into the inlet of the sed. bowl crimped off at the top with several holes drilled into it as I was having problems with a tank that was soaked and power washed. Inline filters are made to have pressure pushing the fuel through them and in my mind look dorky on a tractor, it makes me cringe to see one. The inline strainers from Mr. Gasket will work with gravity.
