Gold won't be worth a hoot unless you actually have it in your hand. Most people that own gold have a piece of paper......that won't get you very far. Even if you have it in your hand, it's useless when you're hungry.... you'll trade it all for a hunk of cabbage.
I'm not a big end of the world guy, but we've been living like you all are advocating ever since I can remember. If it's not already your way of life, you'll just be another bump in the road. Surviving isn't something you are going to learn from a Hank Jr song or pick up from a book.
I don't in my wildest dreams think the country will come to this end, but I do think we are one bad earthquake, tornado or hurricane from having a real mess.
