My 1950 AC B has been a relatively dependable tractor - considering it s 80 years old! I m currently having difficulty keepin er running ! Start fine. Runs for approximately 3 minutes then dies. Hard to restart thereafter. I disconnected fuel line before and after fuel bowl - lotsa fuel. When it is running, it runs smooth, so I m thinking the ignition is functioning properly. EXCEPT . . . I dunno Jack about magnetos and how they work. Help!

My first step (because it's easy) is to check fuel level in carb. Replace carb bowl drain plug with
a hose fitting for .25 plastic hose. Attach 12 or 15 inches of hose with the open end wired higher than the
carb bowl. This will let you see gas level in carb - and if it's half inch or so below carb gasket when it
stops you know that lack of fuel is NOT your problem.

Next time it does it, immediately check for spark. There is a gal named Rachael on YouTube who has a great how to video on rebuilding a mag. They aren't too difficult.
