Case 1370 key

I broke my key off in the ignition switch on my 1370. Just wondering IF I can get it out can I just replace the key or do I need to replace the ignition switch also. Thanks. Also any ideas on how to get it out

Usually you can pick the broken piece out pretty easy. The keys are universal, dealer should have one, or ebay. Same as a bunch of JD lawn mowers and gators.

If you can get the key removed the keys are available from Elmer's Repair, your case dealer or on Ebay. I have a 970 case and have done the same.

Take a bobby pin and cut into two pieces at the top of the loop. Grind away some of the hook or loop until you can shove it in the smooth backside of the key piece. Then pull the piece out.
