I've been working on a Bobcat 773 for a
guy fixing a lot of issues with it. One
that I'm not too sure of the cause is the
boom drifting down. It only does it when
the machine is running and the lap bar is
down so the hydraulics are engaged. It
will hold all day if the machine is off,
so the issue isn't in the cylinders. The
tilt also will hold fine.
I have a service manual, but it's a
reprint I think, so the hydraulic
schematic is a bit hard to read. Is there
any common issue with these that would
cause this? Possibly a pressure relief
for the boom function that could be
leaking? Thanks for any direction you can
give.
