I have a John Deere 2040 that needs a clutch kit. JD parts call for an 11 inch clutch but when I measure the actual clutch it is only 10 inch. My splines match the ones on an 11 inch clutch but not what is on a 10 inch clutch. Does anyone have experience with how to measure my clutch disk or with replacing the clutch in a jd 2040? My tractor is one that was manufactured in Germany and is a low serial number <350,000.
