Farmall H brake bushings advice

Replaced brake bands and seals on Farmall H. Want to replace the bushings for the pivot. The part #is 48594DA. They are no longer available from Case/IH. Takes 4 bushings. Every thing I have found is REALLY expensive. Is there another bushing that will fit this application?

McMasters Carr or Motion Industries, or Kaman Bearing will have bushing material (maybe with correct OD/ID) make sure the grease hole is redrilled. If not exact, they can be bored or turned to the size needed! Jim

Hello Allen welcome to YT. Maybe you been to the
CNHI online parts web site to get the part number.
They give the dimensions of the bushings in mm under
the part number at key 23. A place called Messicks
claims to have them at around $40 a piece. Probably
can do some looking around for a substitute at that
price.

I needed a bushing for a different custom job I was working on, and went to a local machine shop, locally well-known, and
they had a large selection of bushings. In fact it was a very large selection. We finally found exactly what would work.
There might be a machine shop near you, and I have to believe IHC used some standard size.

Thanks for the info. I checked with a local machine shop. They referred me to Mcmasters Carr. Said they could make bushings but they would be expensive

******Update--Went to my local Starter/alternator shop with an old bushing, dimensions and a dial caliper. Found bushings with correct ID and OD Just a little shorter in length. Cost was 2 dollars a bushing
