Propane vapor or liquid?

I just bought a 756 propane and it does
not have a choke. This smorning it was
about 20 degrees and I had to crank I
would guess about 8 seconds before it
started. I don't really know what I'm
doing so all I can do is hope it starts. I
noticed on the tank it days vapor on one
valve and liquid on the other. I read in
other posts asking if you Start it on
liquid or vapor and I don't know. I think
there both open but I don't want to mess
it up.

Hi, i am curious what kind of LP vaporizer and carburtor is on it, most likely a Ensng or maybe its been changed ???

So are you suppose to close the liquid valve and open just the vapor valve before starting and then vise versa after its warmed up?

Yes. But you may not need to IF the coolant moves right away after a cold start. I see the tractor has the IMPCO LP system, that's the most trouble free I've ever used. Years ago I had an Olds 455 V-8 with the IMPCO LP system, it always started fine just using the liquid valve only. If the coolant doesn't move right away through the LP regulator you'll know by the frost on the regulator after a cold start, just before engine dies.
