Thank for letting me join. I just bought a 54 to 57 Fergeson TO 35 near as I can tell because the Id plate is missing. Over 10 years ago it had a 3 to 4000.00 overhaul (according to the owners daughter) it was only driven around the yard a few times after and it's been sitting for 8 years. I've gotten it running and it runs very well with a couple of issues. The clutch is very hard to push, once you get it depressed you put it in gear you take your foot off the clutch and wait. It slowly engages and the tractor moves. After some reading I pulled the starter and Blindly sprayed brake kleen on the clutch side of the flywheel and it freed it up and drove the rest of the day fine. Next day hard to press again. This time I looked up the inspection plate hole, hard to see because of the brake cross shaft but everything is very clean not caked with oil. I again sprayed brake kleen the best I could and it freed up again for the day but is again stiff. The pedal shaft is not sticky as you and lift it up and down at will while the clutch is waiting to engage. Only place I can see it can be sticking is the throw out bearing on the trans input sleeve or the fingers of the clutch. Sorry about the novel but I wanted to get as much info as I know out there.
Thanks, Mike
