Redi-sleeve pulley repair

I've seen quite a few references on these boards to using a sleeve to repair a sealing surface, but don't recall any pictures of the actual operation so I thought I'd share these.

I am doing an overhaul of a Z-134 out of a TO-35. The block and head are at the machine shop (for a long time now) and I've been fussing around cleaning pieces and painting and getting small parts on hand, etc.

The pulley seal surface was quite pitted. As far as I can tell, new original style pulleys are not available and the replacements that are available are rather expensive.

I found an appropriate 'Redi-sleeve' by Federal-Mogul on eBay for $30. It seems better than others because it has more height than many and covers the pitted pulley surface about 98%.

I applied a very thin coat of 'anaerobic gasket maker' to the pitted surface both for sealing purposes and to lubricate the installation.

After numerous medium taps with a hammer, the sleeve is in place and there's a very smooth surface for the seal to ride.
