Dozer Or Front Snow Plow Arrangement, Anyone Seen One

I have been using the backblade to plow a long driveway 15 years now and its getting old. Once I saw a Fergy or 9N sitting with a large front blade on it but never took a close look. I want to find a way to run it off the rear arms if possible rather than making some Rube Goldberg system adding pumps and the like. Has anyone seen something like this? What I really need is some pics or diagrams and I can take it from there.

Driz, on the left column look for Research & Info under that click on "Search This Site" then in the top box type in "Ferguson Snow Blade" in the next box scroll down to "Ferguson Forum" then click the Search button, then recheck as you are probably on the Ford Forum if so scroll to "Ferguson Forum" again and click the search button and then you should be on the right forum, there is a lot of good reading and several good pictures. Driz, We have an old snow plow off a pickup with the hydraulics run from the scv or remote couplers in back. This gives us both lift and angle.

Thanks for the info. That goes double for the swtiches to ford list advice. It led me right to all the pix to see exactly what I need. Anybody know what rating that 12 v winch is rated for in the pictures? I prefer the use of the hydraulics but being able to keep the rear blade sems much handier.

Ford made the "Dearborn Angle Dozer", "Dearborn Snowplow" and "Dearborn V-Plow" all of which used their "Universal Frame" to support them. The frame used a cable & pulley arrangment coupled to the 3 point hitch to raise and lower the blade.

I have a copy of the "angle Dozer" assembly and operating instructions in a pdf file if that would assist you.

picture of a blade lift using rear arms for the lift.

you could make a blade do the same.
