Good Day Everyone
I have a 1957 ford 600
I have replaced the carb, converted it to 12 volts, installed a new distributor and changed to electronic ignition. It stalls when going forward and I have to restart. It runs great in reverse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did it have this problem before you did all of that work?

Yes it did, also I forgot to mention it does it going up hill.

Does it do it in reverse while going backward uphill?

Is the fuel tank full?

I'm wondering if the fuel level is low and its not getting to the shutoff valve when it's on a hill.

I can go up hill in reverse, I keep the fuel tank full. Is it possible for the carb float to be set to low?

I hope you didn't throw any of those good parts away!
First step is to do a fuel flow test and see if you are getting sufficient fuel.

I did a flow test and I'm getting 1 gal in 6 min 30 sec. I did notice that there is a large air bubble in the fuel bowl. Could the Air space cause it to stall?

A whole gallon in 6 and a half minutes? That's good fuel flow.
Sean in PA asked you if it did it in reverse going up hill and how much fuel was in the tank. It looked like you tried to answer him, but I didn't see your answer, only his quote.

No it doesn't do it backing up a hill, I keep the fuel tank between 3/4 and full.
I have 1/4 in I'd line from the tank no to the bowl.
