Ford 4000 selectOspeed adjustment

Hi,
I have a shop manual for the 801 select-o-speed tractors (I have an 881). Can anyone confirm that the procedure for removal of the topcover and band adjustment is the same for the earlier 4000 sos tractor (1962-64)?
I bought the 4000 at auction last weekend and am now working on changing fluids, minor repairs, and adjustments. This 4000 has a direct drive, whereas my 881 has the early over-running clutch.

I can't be absolutely certain as i have never owned a tractor with SOS but if you have the I&T FO-20 Service Manual, it says it covers all models, including the Selecto
from the 501, 600, 601, 700, 701, 800, 801, 900, 901, 1801, 200(4-cyl), anf 4000 94-cyl0 models.There is pretty extensive chapter ob the SOS and it says in it that late
production unit, 1963 and up, system was similar except that it had a multiple disc clutch instead of the one-way clutch at the end of the powertrain. Perhaps the more
experienced SOS experts will chime in here.

Thanks! I ordered a supplement manual that is supposedly for the early 4000's SOS. Info is a little sketchy on the internet so I don't want to take a chance messing something up.
