Just went through the hydraulic system on a Major Diesel. I re o-ringed the pump, valve body, and cylinder with a kit from yesterday's tractor. I finally got the tractor to lift a bush hog but it drops around one inch per min. Sometimes the hydraulis will stay up once the wheel touches the ground and others it will just fall all they way. I tested the pressures and get around 2100psi before the arms reach the top and the pressure drops to 500. The tractor would not lift the bush hog off the ground the other day but since it snapped cold it has. I was supplied with Traveller Tran & Hyd Fliud for Ford Tractors. It doesn't list a weight on the bucket anywhere. I'm not sure why it still leaks down after replacing the piston seal.
Are there any other tests that I can preform to narrow down the problem?
