Power Major diesel loader/backhoe

I have a 61(?) Power Major diesel with a Johnson loader and Sherman backhoe. The hydraulic pump is driven at front by front of crankshaft. Does anyone know the hydraulic pressure of this system? I am replacing the inline cartridge filter made by Marvel Eng. Co., Chicago with a spin on at the tank. I assume the hydraulic tube going into the top of the tank is low pressure and the spin on filter will take it. Can anyone assure me of that?

The tube to the top of the tank should indeed be the return (low) side of the system. Have any pictures of your tractor? I have a power major with a bastardized loader setup and would be interested to see how your loader is attached to the frame.
