Fordson model

Group,

I'm hoping someone can help me out & tell me what I have. I believe it's a model F, but not positive. I looked for a serial number on the right side of the engine, near the front but was unable to find 1. I read somewhere that it's between intake & exhaust ports on cylinder 1, but there is a manifold bolt there.
It looks to me that the manifold has been installed upside down compared to all the pictures of the F model I have seen on the internet.

Anyhow, this was my father's project that he never got to & now I have inherited it. I have no desire to do anything with it.

A couple of other notes:
My brother claims he actually saw it run back in the 1980's when it was moved from Pittsburgh to it's current location. It has a gasoline tank & a diesel tank? Gas used to start engine then switched over to diesel?
The engine does turn over, we were able to get it turning using the hand crank. It was moved a few years ago from the other side of the property, so all the wheels have turned lately.

If someone would be interested in it, what websites would they be looking at? I am ready to part with it & have a scrap yard a few miles from the house but would be willing to offer it to someone that would want to restore it first.

Thanks for any information you could pass along.

There are classified, and picture ad sections on the main page of this site. They are on the top left of the main page.

Looks like and F to me.

Engine is replaced appear to be early engine design , cant tell from photo ,maybe wrong . the number were supposed to transfer from old
engine to new replacement engine, of course no one did that.

Your up draft carburetor which is not used on an F original , carburetor used were Holley 234 Holley 280 Holley 295 and Kingstons ( dont
remember those design numbers. Only Five carburetor systems used on F

Youre missing the air washer air filter.

Also no air cleaner ,so high lik that that engine is really worn out with all the dirt suck in it.

If the fuel tank has two fill ports ,the it reversed gasoline is supposed to be back by steering wheel ,it hold about a gallon of gas ,spherical
tank . So more like it was a Holley carburetor system originally.

My thought good luck

That is an excellent looking old Fordson. It would be worth about 3 times scrap price as a
piece of yard art. I'd take it to a flea market at a tractor show and try to sell it. It
appears to be mid-1920s. They could have started on gas and switched over to distillate or
kerosene. It has an aftermarket magneto, probably Bosch, which should improve starting. The
lugs are special on the wheels. Must have been used in soft ground. It has a different manifold
design. And the air cleaner is not on the tractor. People were always trying to make improvements.
The serial number should be just above that nut you mentioned. If it's not there, it could be a
spare engine block that wasn't re-stamped.

Noticed the front wheels are worn down to rivets so it was worked hard. Suggest not taking to scrap yards. .

Very hard to find Fordsons in my opinion.

The photo adds here at yesterday is my thoughts also for selling it. Good luck nice starter tractor for project or collectors .

Thank you everyone for all of the great information, appreciate all of it.
I'll talk it over with my brother and see if he agrees we should list it on the classifieds.

Thanks again.
