Pump couplings won't fit Simms SPE4A

I need a new pump coupling, since the old keyways are wallowed out and loose. It's a Fordson Power Major, 1960 w/ a Simms SPE4A.

I bought this little fella: https://www.external_link/products/e1addn993184-injector-pump-drive-assembly-s-67250.html

The tapered hole is way too small for my pump's camshaft! I know the key changed size at some point, but this is the entire shaft. Problem is, this is the only coupling available for sale. I'm considering having a machinist bore out the conical hole some more. Anyone else run into this?

The link doesn't appear to be working, but it's the E1ADDN993184 - Injector Pump Drive Assembly that I bought. It's the only one that shows up when you search for a Fordson Major Pump Drive; they all have the same stock photos.

My original post isn't showing on the "Modern View"? But in a nutshell:

My injector pump drive coupler is loose. The key is partially sheared, and the conical hole is loose.

It's a 1960 FPM w/ a Simms SPE4A.

I bought a replacement coupler, and the hole is way too small for the camshaft on my pump! I know the key size changed at some point, but I can't find anything about different shaft sizes.

I'm contemplating finding a machinist who can bore out the conical hole on the coupler, since it's the only one you can buy. Anyone else run into this before?

The only uprated shaft and keyway was on the pump drive from the engine itself. To replace this involves dropping the sump, oil pump and removing the timing cover and front plate to get that shaft out. The later shaft can then be installed with new bearings.

As far as the pump drive coupling on the pump end, the problem is due to parts built in the two lands of 'nearly right', Ireland and China. I have suffered for years from buying parts from aftermarket suppliers that source parts from these places. I ended up sourcing parts from breakers rather than other sources, I have even had second hand parts sent to me from Australia because they were not available over here. Might be an idea to contact Dieseltech on this site as he might be able to help.

Thanks for the reply! The hole on the pump side coupling is a good three to four mm too small; more than I'd expect from a qc issue. Also, some of these sites list the dimensions of the holes, and they are all too small for my pump's camshaft.
