Getting fuel to carb but will not rev up to go any faster thinking carb kit but never been into one of these are these easy to do? Think its a 16 or 18 hp. Thanks for any help!

Does the engine speed go up when you work the throttle shaft on the engine by hand?

If it does, something is wrong with the governor, governor spring, or adjustment.

Just acts like its not getting any fuel.

When first got my B&S opposed twin I didn't rebuild the carb but cleaning was simple enough.
