1950 John Deere A oil filter

The copper washer on the bottom is in rough shape and leaking a little. Part # A 521 R Is there any dimensions available to find one from
like Grainger or McMaster? I don't want to take it apart until I can find a replacement. Thanks for any info.

A521R is still available from John Deere. Check with your dealer for pricing.

If your dealer is close by have them order it on a routine stock order and pick it up from them when it comes in. This will avoid shipping cost.

FWIW, the dealer I'm set up with on jdparts.com shows 2 in stock @ $5.95, pricey, but shipping cost from another source would wipe out any savings in a hurry!

Bought one about 3 months ago at dealer in stock 7.14. Looks like they put 20% markup on it. Used to work at a New Holland dealer several years ago, they put 10% on everything even freight I think.
