Alright, I've searched and searched and haven't come up with much. I recently came into a 65 Utility without a serial number plate. I've been told it is a 1962. It's had .... some work ... done over the years it appears. Anyway, it has the Wooster Power steering pump, larger gas tank, straight fuel filter and by all accounts a regular injection a4.203 engine as it has straight vertical injectors.. and evidently someone, at some point, removed/bypassed the hydraulic filter assembly from the loader's pump (?). Anyway, that's not my point... I'm looking to replace the tie rods and damned if I can't find much on the parts. Referencing the parts manual for the tie rod assemblies I find no hits for anything anywhere. I can find a hit for the RH tie rod outer unit. The original has a LH unit which appears to be a solid unit, non-adjustable with an angled outer joint... I haven't been able to find anything similar. The RH assembly also has the angled outer joint which I've found some similar units. I guess my question is... if I'm looking to replace both sides Tie Rod assemblies ... what part numbers should I be looking for? Is there something I can use instead of the originals as referenced in my parts manual? Any problems with using non-utility model Tie Rods? My manual indicates RH assembly 189225M92 and LH assembly 192251M91.
This is my first tractor, I've worked on cars before (typically not 60 years old though)... so bear with me a little please.
Thanks for anyone's help!
