Massey Ferguson 135 Hydraulics

There are two control levers, the DRAFT lever is for ground engaging tools, the POSITION lever is used to hold the three point at a given height setting. If you are using
the draft lever three point WILL NOT hold a given height, leave it fully up and use the position lever.

Yes I have the draft lever fully up, and use the control lever for raising and lowering implement, but it doesn't stay set in place like when mowing with brush hog it keeps going and hits the drive shaft. Would you happen to know what the relief valve does, and how to know if if should be replaced. This is on a Massey Ferguson 135 hydraulic pump.

Thank you.
