Broken vent screw

Hi

I wanted to vent the fuel system on my mf35x. But the the vent screw on the purolator twisted off. Seems to be a bolt with a hole inside it.
With a screwdriver I can turn the broken piece a bit but it stops at a certain point. Is it supposed not to be screwed all the way out?
Is it possible to get a new bolt/screw and what do I need to do to get the broken piece out?

Been a while since I bled a 35 diesel, but I believe it's just a typical banjo-style bleeder. Should come all the way out. Possibly the
threads are a little bungled. The Massey part # for that bleeder screw should be 1650192M1. Interestingly, they show and list the same banjo
bolt for the drain plug as well.

Maybe try pulling the lower bowl/housing off and screwing the broken screw all the way through the bottom? Otherwise maybe drill through,
pound a Torx bit in the hole, and that should give you enough purchase to screw out the top.

Well couldn't get it out. Broke several drill bits and one got stuck. So ended up with sealing the hole with some solder. For now it is tight. Was surprised there wasn't much dirt inside the filter housing. So maybe not worth risking breaking more screws and bolts by checking the cav filter.

If you ever require bleeding (removing AIR) that particular filter housing..it could be quite an adventure.....
