We just rebuilt the engine in our Massey 50 and replaced the governor. Weve got two problems now:
1. We have a leak out the back of the engine. We put a new rear main seal in when we rebuilt it. This is on the Continental gas. Any ideas where its coming from? Could it be the bearing cap seals?
2. The governors dont seem to be responding as fast as they should. Weve adjusted everything how they say but weve had to extend the rod from the carb to governor lever to get it to not run wide open all the time. Ideas on this?
Anything to try would be greatly appreciated!
