MF165 Planetary drive tools

Oil seals on both planetaries of my MF165 need replacing. The service manual says to use MFN 764-3 and MFN 265 tools to remove planetary from the housing. Does anyone know where I can get these tools? Would prefer to buy them rather than try to make them. The manual also says to use MFN 267-Y tool to set pre-load on the bearings. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

MFN764-3 is just a forcing screw and MFN 265 is a round puller for the screw to go into that fits the middle of planetary. All you need is something big enough to cross the middle of that planetary hole doesn't have to be round and pull it apart. I had the top to a big 2 jaw puller, took all the crap off (the jaws and the plates connecting it to the top) and threaded it apart. Put that in the planetary and put the screw back in and turned it to force it off. Keep in mind you need a press to put it back together and not some bench top deal either. My full floor press was pretty much all the way down to shove it back together. There is also a big snap ring down in there on mine some have a 2 piece split ring. You will need big snap ring pliers if its the snap ring. Mine barely did the job. As for the preload I put mine back as I found it. Might very well be out of spec but I didn't have a way at the time to make the tool. Now I do have a way to make it so I could see myself making it if needed in the future but I'd need specs from someone that has the tool. I have not had or heard anything bad from my tractor and me not doing that. Some of these things I question if they even do at the dealer. Most Massey dealers do not have those special tools anymore. What would they do? My guess is throw it back and send it out.

Thanks acadam20 for your reply. I made a tool from some 1 inch fine thread hardened all thread and some one inch thick plate. My lock ring pliers were too small, so I had to make a bigger set to get the lock ring off. I have some bearings on the way, so have not got it all back together yet. Wish I had more info on the tool(plate) used to set the pre-load. I may try to figure it out by measuring thicknesses. Happy trails!
