I'm trying to sort out the wiring on my 1945 RTU. Over the years it has been cobbled and jerry-rigged by who knows how many people, including me.
My question is--was the push/pull light switch originally set up for high and low charging, in addition to the lights? There are 3 different positions on the switch, and the lights don't come on till it's pulled all the way out. Plus, one of the wires from the generator appears to go to the light switch. The tractor currently has a voltage regulator on it. Don't know if that was always the case.
Just trying to figure out what I've got.
When I first got the tractor many years ago it had a WICO distributor on it. I switched it to a magneto a few years back. I have no idea what was on it when it was new.
