Rear axle seal

New to Minneapolis Moline and just wondering how big a job it would be to replace the rear axle seal on a
RTI. Im assuming that the seal is bad since theres oil dripping from the hole in the bottom of the housing.
Can the axle shaft be removed without removing the housing? Never been in the rear end of one do I need
to remove the bull gear like a John Deere? Any good sources for seals and gaskets? Thanks for any help,
Mark

On a RTU the brakes are on the axles. You pull the axle and housing as a unit, and the oil seal is inboard of the brakes in the transmission case. I would think an RTI would be similar.

Might want to take a close look at the bearing as well. Many times a defective bearing is the cause of a failed seal. However as old as this tractor is, the seal may just have dried up.
