advancing camshaft timing

I have never done it , but I traded in a UB that had the camshaft advanced one tooth. It was a snappy and gutsy tractor I used it in the field

Have advanced the cam timing on 4 or 5 of them. Not hard. Take off front end , and a big time saver would be taking of crank pulley but it can be done without. What I do is turn it over til crank and cam gears are meshing the I and O, then pull cam gear , and rotate crank a tiny bit counter clockwise.sometimes takes a couple trys to get it advanced one tooth. Then go slow living cam gear back on .
