Oliver 55 or super 55

Is there a way to tell the difference between an Oliver 55 and a super 55? Also looking to buy a grill for the front anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Easy to tell the difference. They never made a 55. They came out when the Supers were introduced. There were two versions of the Super, early, then what's known as the ''Improved Super that came out on 57. The early ones had green wheels, the fuel cap was under the radiator cap door and the gassers were 6 volt. Improved ones had the fuel cap in the center of the hood and red wheels.

You can get a new grill from Korves Oliver. Just search them, they have a web site. Kent Gordon might have a used grill. We'll see if he posts.

There was no 55 . Super 55 came out in 1954, then changed to 550 in 1958.
