Injection pump Compatible?

Injection pumps and swapping parts between engines is not my strong suit so I hope this is not too dumb a question. Can you run a Roosamaster off a 1650 with a 283 cu in. on a 1600 with the 265 cu in. engine?

I would agree if the 1650 pump was an early indirect injection unit it would be fine, but what if OP has the direct injection pump found on all later 1650's. ( all 1600,s were indirect) Would it work with some mods?

Yes. The early Oliver/Waukesha engines had no pump advance, later engines did. Long as pump is built/adjusted for the right engine it will run fine. Slower running engines don't need the speed advance, faster running engines start/run better with advance.

Mine is an indirect injection set up. So maybe it would work out. The Tractor is in the next time zone so I will need to make sure that its worth chasing the 1600. Hate to see these go to the scrap heap.
