Thought I'd post a caution for anyone replacing their clutch throwout bearing/sleeve and the tube it slides on...
The sleeve should be ID 1.687. The tube number 1K585 OD should be 1.675. I received a tube at 1.691 so that did not fit.
New tube coming so will update with the results.
Meanwhile, I did add .008 shim stock to the clutch release shaft pivot points, so this thing should be really good when it goes back together.

Indeed. Finally got it running yesterday, fogged the cylinders again and it fired right up after being down way too long.
Clutch takeup is now close to fully depressed and almost a light action, with return spring installed.
Lesson 2. Point the PTO shaft higher than you think to line it up. Don't depress the clutch while the PTO shaft is out.
Lesson 3. Don't put the fuel bowl bail somewhere you'll forget.

Any best practices for running the battery cable past the clutch rod? Does it go above in the grommets under the tank?
